FAVORITE SCHOOL EVENT: Richardson Farm- I love visiting the attractions with our family and seeing Faye’s friends and their families everywhere! It makes our small community seem so big!
FAVORITE PART OF PARENT GROUP: Getting to be a part of all the memories the Parent Group helps to make for each student at CLMS.
Kelly, Jon and Evie live in Hebron and own and operate Bluestem Farm & Events, a local wedding venue. Kelly loves gardening, traveling and time up north with the family
CLMS STUDENT: Evie is in Early Childhood and started in the Infant program in 2020.
FAVORITE SCHOOL EVENT: Bowling night! So far, Evie has really enjoyed the spring bowling night, being able to hang out with her school friends, eating pizza and knocking down pins.
FAVORITE PART OF PARENT GROUP: Getting to know other parents and participating in several school events. It’s a great way to give back and have a sense of community with the school and other families.
Michael and Emily live in Woodstock with their four daughters. Together they own and operate a repair shop focusing on medium/heavy truck and specialty vehicles.
CLMS STUDENT: Eva is a recent graduate, Alison is in Middle School, Abby & Lauren are in Upper Elementary.
FAVORITE SCHOOL EVENT: End-of-Year picnic in the Park! I love the last hurrah to close out the school year!
FAVORITE PART OF PARENT GROUP: Getting together to not only plan CLMS events, but for the friendship and camaraderie.
Lisa lives with her husband, Mike D’Ambrosio, their daughter, Aeralyn, and their 3 cats, Beckitt, Damon and Tavi (though it’s only through their good graces that Lisa and Co. are allowed that privilege), in Huntley. Honorable mention: Their son, Michael (16), lives with his mother and stepfather in Worth but stays with the D’Ambrosio’s every other weekend. Lisa enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons twice a week with her friends, re-inking dice and playing video games. She can also often be found belting out bangers at Karaoke on Friday nights.
CLMS STUDENT: Aeralyn, LE (1st)(returning third year)
FAVORITE SCHOOL EVENT: I would have to say the Valentine’s Dance. It’s absolutely wild to me to see the youth doing the actual choreographed dances to songs I knew ‘back in my day’. What I’ll always remember is rushing out to the dance floor with my daughter to dance the Macarena while being surrounded by so many kids, who were also dancing the Macarena. Or the time I learned that Cotton Eyed Joe had a legit dance by seeing kids doing it (and then proceeded to learn by watching them).
FAVORITE PART OF PARENT GROUP: Honestly? I think everyone is rad and seeing/listening to them care so much about the experience of every kid, not only their own kiddos, inspired me so much to want to help in whatever way I could. I started out my first year volunteering ideas for events and delivering lunches to actively participating and donating supplies towards events and delivering lunches to now serving as Secretary and delivering lunches (and absolutely doing the events again, ya’ll better be ready for more Jolly Rancher Cotton Candy).
I guess, in short, my favorite thing is being part of the team that strives to enhance “The School Experience”. 💪💯
